The workers compensation law in New Jersey is elective. However, on the ground i.e. functionally, it is all but mandatory. There are various ways through which workers comp law New Jersey is implemented and these include direct provisions and provision through workers’ compensation insurance.

Currently, workers’ comp law requires full medical benefits to be forwarded to employees who are entitled to it. In fact, these medical benefits are forwarded completely without there being any caps on either time or size of compensation. The workers’ comp New Jersey law also has provisions for temporary total disability, permanent total disability and even permanent partial disability. Furthermore, death benefits are also included in the workers’ comp law in New Jersey with the wife and children being the beneficiaries.

Disability and death benefits, as per the workers compensation law, are determined on the basis of the amount of the workers’ wages. Even so, a certain minimum stipulated compensation is also relevant.
