Can a Man Get a Yeast Infection?

Friday, March 9th, 2012

Once we understand what causes a yeast infection, it is not shocking at all that men get them as well as women, children and even babies. In fact, premies are particularly at risk because their immune systems are not fully developed. Yeast infection in men is a widely searched term in Google so it tells you that men out there are wondering what the heck those painful red splotches are and why they have a milky discharge.  Yeast infections don’t only show up on the genitals, however, and can present in the mouth, where it is usually known as thrush and even on the skin in dark, damp places like the armpits, under a woman’s breasts or the perianal region. No matter where it shows up as sympomatic, the truth is the cause is much deeper and goes to the internal health or dysfunction of the digestive tract. Normally our bodies live in harmony with the yeast called candida albicans but when our body gets upset, through stress, poor diet, overuse of alcohol, drugs, steroids or antibiotics, the yeast turns into a beast that devours everything in sight. It can even send out rhizoids that penetrate the intestinal wall causing Leaky Gut Syndrome which can be very dangerous as the toxic waste in the intestines leaks into the abdominal cavity.

Damaging Habits Sometimes Lead to Panic Attackes.

Wednesday, November 9th, 2011

There are damaging habits like drinking or using drugs have been proven to be detrimental to your health, and if you have a problem here, help isn’t hard to find. Even if you don’t suffer from an addiction, you could be in the habit of skipping your workout for sitting on the couch watching TV and those could be keeping you from reaching your goals. Don’t rely on your treatment for panic attacks without medication to get you thru the day. You must work at health to attain health. It’s a little controversial to recommend that people drink alcohol to stay healthy, but recent research indicates that people who drink moderate amounts of alcohol have lower rates of many diseases than non-drinkers. Resveratrol is especially good and red wine has a high amount of it. Having a problem with alcohol does not mean you cant get these antioxidants as fruit and fruit juice contain them as well so you can also have them. For example you could replace wine with orange juice and a resveratrol supplement. It can be good for your health, if you do not mind having alcohol, to have a glass of wine a day.
