Thatchery Crafting
♫ Sunday, January 13th, 2013While crafting is a very enjoyable hobby and can produce beautiful heirlooms to be passed down, it is also a great way to let kids express their creativity. With children, you don’t have to have a large budget to have fun. When it’s raining or snowing outside kids tend to get bored, and a great way to get them away from the television or video games is to line a table with newspaper and give them a large bag of popsicle sticks, which are available in the crafting section of most department stores, and a bottle of non-toxic glue. It might be helpful to give them some ideas that they can choose from, but as often as not children will come up with their own ideas if you give them the chance. Once the glue dries, provide them with paint or washable markers and let them color their creation. Whatever they make it will give them a sense of accomplishment, and exercise their imagination in the process.
